Martin Milan Galbavy, better known as Ice, was born and raised in Philadelphia. It is where it all started at the age of 4 when he started with the Philadelphia Mummers Parade.
From then on he would lead a normal life – going to school, playing sports and hanging out. Around the age of 11, Ice began to attend “pre-teen” dances. It was about the same time that hip hop was coming into its Golden Age of Creativity. Ice loved it and began sneaking into local Philadelphia night clubs as well as becoming a regular at the local teen nights where he would enter and win dance contests just by dancing on pure enjoyment. Later in life he would be trained by some of the best in the industry.
From there, he would go on to college and after a year of being a psychology major, he auditioned for the dance department at Temple University and was accepted. At 20, Ice became Ice and experienced his first Bar Mitzvah celebration because he finally made his way into the world of Mitzvah entertainment.
Ice would receive his BFA from Temple University all the while he was growing in the industry. He has been in the Mitzvah entertainment industry for 14 years now and loves every week because “making people happy is what I’m here to do.”
Ice has performed all over the world and continues grow and learn as a dancer, as a person and as an entertainer. He most enjoys making people happy.
Joining Glyde Productions was one of the most fortuitous experiences one could ask for.
This is where creativity and action meet for him. He has been here for a few years now and he’s not going anywhere else.
For MC ICE, Glyde Productions is home.
