Marc was the successful Band Leader/Drummer for his 11-piece group Elite for more than a decade.  Now he is the Director of Wedding Music Services for Washington Talent and one of the area’s most sought after DJs.   Marc has positioned himself to truly understand the needs of today’s ever-changing wedding industry and is simply striving to be better and more creative every day.

Marc has hundreds of satisfied clients from wedding receptions, gala events, fund raisers, corporate events and private parties. His repertoire of music is vast.  When asked for a Cha-Cha, Foxtrot, Waltz or Swing, you will not get an empty stare. With a sophisticated musical palate, Marc will suggest music for cocktail hour and dinner to include such legends as Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Ray Charles and Jazz greats like Duke Ellington, Miles Davis and John Coltrane.  Even present day entertainers such as Norah Jones, John Mayer and Jack Johnson.

When it’s time to dance, he can provide the full range of classic party music including Oldies, Motown, Disco, Classic Rock, Reggae, 80’s, 90’s and current dance music. Marc has been requested by top hotels in the District such as The Mandarin Oriental, The Renaissance Mayflower and The Park Hyatt Hotel to provide entertainment for both staff and VIP receptions. Such events have required an extensive knowledge base of ethnic music including Latin Rhythms, India’s Banghra and Punjabi, Traditional and Contemporary Jewish/Israeli music, Persian, Souko, Asian Groove and European Lounge. As your Master of Ceremonies, Marc knows the keys to making your event flawless.

He is an Event Specialist who will collaborate with the caterer, event staff and other vendors to create an itinerary that flows smoothly by taking a lead role in helping to coordinate the details of your reception. The party is over, but we are still glowing. What a beautiful wedding with such a beautiful bride and groom! What fun we all had. We could not have done this without you. You were fantastic! Starting with introductions, to the speeches and getting everyone out for the first dance, you played and everyone followed. We loved the orchestration and the music and I have never seen such enthusiasm on a dance floor (including myself and Bobby). I never attended a wedding where the guests didn’t want the music to end and needed to be ushered out because the party was over. Marc, you are a professional and a pleasure to work with. Thank you for making our night so much fun!!

DJ Marc Wilner is the best. I have seen him do over a dozen weddings and he recently did mine. He can work within any guidelines and make it an amazing party. Our wedding was a huge success because of Marc. The music was perfect all night and he had the dance floor PACKED. People did not stop to eat wedding cake until the wedding was over because they did not want to miss one minute of dancing. Marc is very professional and great to work with. Marc was the most amazing person to work with! He was very upbeat, flexible, fun and easy to work with. We loved how he checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were having fun. The songs he played at the wedding were perfect. The dance floor was packed the whole night. We were married almost 3 months ago and people are still talking about how much fun they had at the wedding. We had the most amazing night!

Marc Wilner was our DJ and he was amazing! The music was fantastic for the entire wedding! We had a very eclectic party and he catered to all of them and had everyone on the dance floor! We used Marc as the DJ for our 8/20/11 wedding and he was AWESOME!! Before the event he helped us with the planning and was willing to answer all the questions we had. During the wedding he made sure to play the music I requested along with so many other songs that were big hits on the dance floor! I had so many people come up to me the entire night to tell me how good the music was. I was surprised to find a couple of CD’s that he made for me the next day with some key wedding songs on it. That was such a cool surprise!! So glad we used Marc!

You really held true to everything that you promised to deliver and made Courtney and I feel like the day really was for us. At the recommendation of my wedding venue, I hired Marc Wilner as my wedding DJ, and he was FANTASTIC! When I called to inquire about his services, not only did he tell me what he does, he explained how my entire day would go. He knew my venue, knew where the wedding party would stand, knew everything! Halfway through the planning process Marc called ME to make sure everything was going smoothly! At the reception, people kept asking me if I hand-picked every song and everyone said the music was the best they had EVER heard at a wedding. All I did was tell Marc our style and make a few suggestions. From there, he went with the vibe of our guests to create a completely personalized ambiance. And by ambiance, I mean PARTY. He even put up with my drunken college friends requesting song after song. Marc was the backbone of our reception. I could not have asked for a better DJ!

Marc Wilner, DJ, was recommended to us by a friend who used him at their wedding. Once we contacted Marc and talked to him on the phone, we decided to use him without contacting anyone else. He appeared to be a person who really enjoyed his work. Marc was very professional from the first contact until the end of the wedding day. He kept in contact by email or phone calls as the wedding day drew near. He kept the events of the ceremony moving as planned and played music that young and old enjoyed. People were up dancing as soon as the first song was played. If you want a “top notch” DJ, you should use Marc Wilner for your wedding! DJ Marc Wilner was FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Marc immediately won us over and gained our trust during our first lunch meeting. He is a very good listener making sure he heard all of our needs and followed through on everything we wanted. It was a lovely wedding. We gave him a lot of flexibility to use his judgement when choosing the right mix of songs based on how the wedding unfolded. From a technical perspective, Marc did a great job mixing songs and executing flawless transitions from one track to the next. We had requested a number of eclectic tracks all in one dance set and the transitions were still as smooth as butta :). We wish Marc all the best and truly appreciate his excellent work! Future brides and grooms, if you want a fun, stress free wedding planning experience (at least for the DJ), give Marc a call.

Hi! We just wanted to thank Marc Wilner for the incredible job he did as DJ for our daughter’s wedding on Sunday September 26th. The ceremony music was lovely and added elegance to the event. The music during the cocktail/dinner time was played perfectly without interruption. Marc obviously is very comfortable with his emcee duties because he did them as if he’d known all of us as friends. Everyone, young adult to old, enjoyed the music. I really didn’t think we had much of a dance crowd guest list, but was proven wrong. A great time was had by all!
